The topics are also well paced and I have been able to progress through the book without feeling overwhelmed. I can recommend this for other beginners.

The book is poorly edited, with many grammatical errors, making the explanatory text difficult to read. The examples are clear enough.

This books starts you off easy and lead me through alot of the nitty gritty little by little... I don't have the patience to research every topic in detail to start programming in Ada, so this is a plus. The author does a good job of explaining the various concepts at first and it's easy to follow along.My favorite part? The fact that the book tells me how to install the compiler and how compile my first few lines of code.

Great book for people starting out with ADA and have to learn ADA in a month!

I attended a special exhibit of Morisot in Quebec. I was so inspired by the artist I immediately ordered the book of this special exhibit. Truly one of the greatest Impressionist painters who is sadly often ignored in the shadows of Monet and others. A magnificent painter with a unique style and subject matter. A real path forger for women!

I am not sure how a book with this very bad quality made it to a publisher such as Springer. There are some deep learning books out there that are written by non-experts that are much better than this one. The book does not touch on any subject in any real substantial way. There are no examples of deep learning applications. The notation is vague. The Python code is presented inside the book which is rather hard to read there. The figures are really really of bad quality. There are no insights on the concepts at all. The research questions at the end of the book are meaningless and some them seemed as if they were written by someone who does not know what he is talking about. The book is a total waste of money.

Definitively recommended this book if have an interest in:1) A historical perspective of how machine learning evolved into deep learning during the past 50 years2) A self-contained and succint description of what are the deep learning mathematical pre-requisites (such as calculus, matrix computation, probabilities)3) A well structured introduction to:- Machine Learning basics- Convolutional network. This exposition is very well done.- Recurrent Networks. Another well-done exposition.- Autoencoders.I've also appreciated particularly the short overview of deep learning for NPL. Short, but very clear.One thing that is missing in this book is the use of Deep Learning together with Reinforcement Learning.So for that you need another source.

I developed a course in Deep Learning at the University of Washington. Although I assigned readings from the Goodfellow et al. book, I also recommended sections from this book. In particular, a two items stood out:1) A nice historical perspective on the subject, which is lacking in many students (and even young researchers!) today.2) Detailed numeric examples of backpropagation through a multi-layer network. I required my students to do the computations themselves with a calculator on a very small example, instead of just relying on the "magic" of auto-differentiation software such as that included in TensorFlow or pytorch. This book also gives a straightforward derivation of the backpropagation formulas.Although the book is short, it covers the necessary basics and then moves on to include not only standard feedforward deep networks, but also the basic convolutional neural nets (CNNs), recurrent neural nets (RNNs), autoencoders, and language models (word2vec), among others. Practical issues such as regularization (L1, L2, dropout) and momentum are discussed. This gives the reader a firm foundation for understanding more sophisticated recent (as of early 2019) models such as the Transformer, BERT, or GPT-2.The mathematical notation in this book is much easier to follow than in more advanced texts, and I think it's a perfect place to start.

The book has been succinctly written, where the author touches on an appropriate amount of introductory content and the history behind neural networks. He proceeds to then take the reader through the fundamentals required for allowing them to continue but provides an emphasis from a logical viewpoint.The remainder of the book intuitively covers off all concepts, approaches and variants of algorithms by using visual illustration, coupled with mathematical formulae and python code.The book can serve as a reference guide, as well as a good basis for anybody wishing to get into the space of statistical and machine learning.The python illustrations could have been formatted a little better by the publisher, however, I will not downvote as the content is what draws more importance to the subject.On a separate note, I'd like to add that the 1-star rating from another gentleman is completely and utterly unrealistic, so I will not comment on what possessed them to such a rating.

Ok heres the thing at first i LOVED this book. i felt like i was holding Gold in my hands. my new bible. But then the author suggests to women lying about sexual trauma as a tactic to avoid having to have sex. Please girls NEVER lie about that. if that wasnt in the book i would give it a 5 star rating hands down. But maybe since the author is a man he doesn't understand the ramification of women lying about this. It is very hard for women who have been raped and molested to be taking seriously much of the time. Even though a TINY percentage of women who report these to police it end up being fake. but to lie about that to anyone a trick a friend a sugar ANYONE is just not ok, and makes it harder for women who have been and have these issues to be taken seriously. I am really dispointed anyone would give that advice to girls no matter what thier objective is. The rest of the boo is Gold thats why i gave it two stars and not one. but that is a REALLLYYYYYY big bad red flag no no do NOT do ever!!!

Excellent read. Really gives "good girls" a clue as to why they are not being chosen for dating as well as long term relationships. Perfect read for a woman having trouble in the dating arena. Perfect read for someone who may be in a stale marriage looking for answers. A must read for any woman who has been cheated on. The audio book version is the most compelling. The narrator's voice really makes the content come alive. It may be a hard pill to swallow for some women who have been raised with a different value system but society shows us that this information is tested and proven. If you are not winning after reading this you're just stubborn.

This book was a gift to my younger friend who is unlucky in love and relationships. Plus looking for someone to spoil her a bit. I read it before giving it to her. It is hilarious and it did actually have some decent if not already common knowledge advice/tips. Do not let the title deter you. Some of the advice for NOT giving a man some cookies pie and cake are funny - some terrifying: don't lie about a trauma - horrible advice. Otherwise it is a worthy read.*4.5 stars*

I loved this book. Although I don't plan on using any of these in the hopes of finding myself a trick, treat, or sponsor, the information in the book really helped me with becoming fully confident with myself. After all, if a woman can pull these mind games and acts on a man, why can't I pull these on regular people I interact with on a day to day basis? That is, just being fun, portraying myself as the "ideal girl" (whatever that is depending on who I am around), and wholly loving myself?Now, I don't want to say that after I read half way into this book, my life changed - because that's not how it happened. I had to actually do things and be active for anything to happen, of course. I'm saying this because it's easy to read or absorb knowledge and think the work is done. No. I had to begin to breathe, eat, and live the Ho Tactics.As for the book, it does give a lot of insight on how a "ho" functions, and it's pretty amazing. After reading this book, I no longer view the word "ho" as an insult (although I know it can be one). In the scenarios the book uses, a ho is a pretty damn admirable woman who uses what she has to get herself further in life, or just the things she simply wants. It also taught me a lot about men (not to say that everything in the book is completely true and applicable to every single man on planet Earth): about how they may think, feel, and act around unwaveringly confident women who aren't afraid to be sexual.Simply put, I think women should read this book. If you aren't going to use these to find yourself a sponsor or trick, that's OK. Be like me, read this book, and let it encourage you to become the unapologetically confident woman you can be.

Pretty good book. I've applied many of these 'tactics' within my relationship and business. My only critique is that this is the kind of book that will help you reel in big fish. Keeping them on the line is an entirely different topic. But if you want something that'll teach you how to fish, this is it. The tactics are good. But they're shortsighted. It's also difficult to transition a relationship built on ho tactics into something real and substantial. This is a great resource if you're not looking for a long-term deal, or if you're a side chick, booty call, etc. Decent book overall.

Ah, the psychology of being just another eBay B*tch. He breaks it down, and he keeps it real. Ladies, if you're co-dependent? Keep this reference close to you, maybe keep a copy in your nightstand drawer. I don't want to wind up like Bridget Jones, eating ice cream, and crying myself to sleep over someone who doesn't care for me back. The book is not at all like the title seems, but this is big girl panties and basic self-respect tutorial.

I was intrigued by this book. I learnt so much from reading it.it really opened my eyes as how to weed out mean selfish men from the first or second contact,even though I have no plans to go around looking for a treat,trick or sponsor.i have learnt techniques that are very helpful that I can apply in making sure the man I choose to be with is someone who have the potential to treat me well,and not to settle for less. It certainly has helped to put a lot more confidence in my actions,and help me how to identify the tricks men use on women and how to beat them at there own game...this is a very good book for those women who have been way too nice to men and allowed them to manipulate you.
