So disappointed, was expecting a textual book 418 on the animal. What I received was a small book, with a small number of photographs, barely 20 pages, suited for young elementary school children
Love this series! The photos are wonderful! The facts are accurate. I would recommend this series to anyone who wanted quick information about the species or an introduction to a species. The book gives enough information to learn about the species there habitat and ther manners. I’d recommend to any age that wanted quick information about a species they are interested In or wanted more information. It is not a boring read, but a life like view into the animal world.
Seems to have good information, but is a thin book and not very robust. It was packaged in a bubble mailer and had been creased which was extremely frustrating given the fact that I ordered it to give as a gift.
Bought this as a gift for a bright eight year old. It was exactly what I was looking for. Beautiful photographs, lots of text, good reading level. I did not read it, so can not vouch for the information in it, but I would buy again for a child's research or fox-loving child's gift.
I bought this for a 6 year old. Lots of interesting facts and great photos. My concern is the full page photo of the fox carrying a dead squirrel in its mouth. True to life but might be a bit too much for a 6 year old to see. Actually I did like seeing that photo. Otherwise the book is great.
A very small book for the price. I was expecting something bigger and more adult oriented.
This book is a quick read with lots of pictures. My eight year old picked it up and read the whole book in about 30 minutes without encouragement. He was very interested in the red fox we see at night when walking the dog. It has lots of pictures and general information.
Great book for kids. My daughter loves foxes and has enjoyed this book immensely.
