The title of this book is the reason I finished it the day I received it in the mail! I RESONATED so much that I stayed up all night because the words FELT good. This book is rich in personal experiences from Alex, research on resonance as a concept, and witty humor. Even if you aren’t trying to build an audience, this book will benefit you. It gives you an insight into understanding why you care about the things that you do as a human being. Alex explains that this isn’t a book specifically about marketing but, human nature and I think she hit it right on the nail. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to understand why they get goosebumps and feel moved as well as to the creatives who want to connect with their audience more. Alex’s tone is intelligent, funny, strong, and approachable. You don’t feel like you’re being talked at but rather, talked with -- there is vulnerability and honesty. It feels like you're in a Brooklyn café talking to her about the mystery and allure of resonance. Her words are unfiltered and clear yet striking. This is a real treat for your soul!

I’m 28 and have always acknowledged I had “artist traits” but after reading this book I admit I’m just down to my bones an artist. I published my first book 2 years ago and after being frustrated with outline I started over and typed the entire thing in a week. I used to think the urgency came from launching my book around me birthday to get more sales, around Thanksgiving where people would be around family and share the launch; but I wrote it and published it in a week because the artist in me wouldn’t allow me to go another week without sharing me story. This book confirmed a ton for me. I don’t have to be all business man where I’m skilled in operations and leadership or all artist where I’m skilled in words and correlations. But I can be a business/artist-person thingy as Alex puts it. In a world that’s so noisy; read this book to provide extreme clarity articulated in an intellectually swaggy way!

From the moment I picked up, “Resonate.” I found myself lacking the willpower to put it down. It had me laughing and nodding throughout as if Alex Wolf and I we were having an actual tabletop conversation, with her teaching so much from the stories she tells subsequently creating a true readers experience. Alex Wolf RESONATES with her readers using a certain mastery that only she can express so eloquently. She does an excellent job of breaking down the human condition and explaining it universal terms, all while guiding us down a path towards becoming better human brands and human beings. Alex’s amalgamation of thoughts and principles has been so finely molded into this book and resulted in what could come to be called a millennial branding-manifesto and a creatives guide to building an audience.

I recommend this book to anyone wondering how tf to use their social media. We’ve outgrown the picture perfect fakeness we’ve tried to paint as our lives. Alex explains that and then she also explains how to be authentic and build true engagement through social (not just mindless followers). It’s simple truths from a millennial perspective in the context of now.

I love how humble Alex is in her book. She really makes you realize how this digital age takes a toll on our everyday life interactions. She teaches you how to authenticly build an audience and be your honest passionate self. This book is a news flash!

I read lots of travel lit I enjoy the adventures and insights about countries, cultures, and personal journeys that genre provides. Dina Bennet's book is of middling quality. The car rally framework is a unique hook, engaging. From the effort to get their car ready for the grueling endurance drive, to the mechanical problems they encounter and work to solve along the way between Mongolia and Estonia, as well as the people they meet, it's all new topic terrain for most readers, I'm sure. But some elements of the trip are never fully explained or resolved, like why did people like James behave the way they did? Did Dina and Bernard remain friends with Sybil and Robert? What's the difference between people like those and Dina that makes the Sybils and Jameses repeat Rally participants and not the Dinas? In a book that overflows with analysis of feelings and temperaments, it would have been more interesting if the author went beyond explaining just herself and speculated or explained more about what makes Rallyites tick. That's what the best travel lit does: it explores the culture of a place, it's history and development, as well as that of the primary characters in the adventure. I'm thinking of Bill Bryson, Paul Theroux, writers like that. This book is more along the lines of Eat, Pray, Love, a mix of memoir and travel, but the self-actualization resolution is not really present until the final wrap-up chapter. Until then there's a lot of lines of panic, self doubt, panic, self doubt, justification, worry, self doubt, worry, panic . . . . You get the picture. I don't doubt that Bennett felt that way along the trip. It just get a bit tiresome to read about it continuously.Finally, I congratulate the author on putting together the book. Writing a book is such hard work. While this isn't the best book I've read, that does not diminish my respect for people like Bennett who put together one and get it out there, and, in the process introduce me to a world I didn't know existed, like that of the Rallyites. I wouldn't recommend this, but nor would I dissuade some from reading it, particularly women who are struggling to build strength in themselves and their relationships.

A journey of discovery, love and a passion for adventure, Dina Bennett takes you along on this wonderful ride.. I enjoyed every mishap, every bump in the road for this novice rally team. The story unwinds at a steady pace, however, towards the end, the narrative was a little rushed. Never mind, marvel at this improbable adventure, and her ability to bring you, the chair bound reader, along with them.

The book was more about the author's personal struggles than about the trip itself.

I loved this book, I really did. It IS about life and love as much or more than it is about the P2P rally. If there are any disgruntled women who feel she whines too much, they must be afraid to face themselves in the honesty of Dina's self portrayal. l related to her self doubt and anguish on so many levels...competency, acceptance, neediness, pride, and so on. She was very brave to put herself out there so transparently and honestly so those of us who cherish personal growth could savor her personal journey. I thank her for that. Dina's writing is beautiful...visual, concise, and flowing. It was a quick read as a result.

That book was so good that I had to buy it for my son and daughter in law. For classic auto nuts, this is a must read. Now if only one had the money and time and mechanical expertise to do that kind of race. Loved it. An unforgettable read.

Dina captured my attention, awe and my empathy in her well written book about her adventures in Roxanne together with Bernard. I found myself laughing, cringing, anxious and celebrating along with them as I was reading about their adventures. Kudos to Dina for writing what feels like a very honest account of what life on the long road must have been like. She succeeds in not only a great read but also in helping to normalize so many of feelings and insecurities we all have. Applaudissement!

The key to this great read is that Bernard didn't write it. It's not about bits and mileage. Dina wrote it and it is about people who do exciting things. It is especially about Bernard and Dina. Thanks Dina. Write some more soon.

This is a well-rounded cookbook that includes entrees, breads, and desserts for busy people who keep the Christian Feast of Unleavened Bread*. I especially like it that both the ingredients and the instructions are simple.The cottage cheese rolls alone are worth the price of admission! I cheat by not chilling the designated time and I use whole wheat flour. They still turn out fantastic. I'm looking forward to trying more of these recipes in the spring! (*Leviticus 23:5,6 and I Corinthians 5:7,8)

I love bread...and recipes for bread...I love this book. These recipes are outstanding and I know they will be a feature in my house for years to come.

I would not have purchased this cookbook if I had known all of the recipes are not kosher. The recipes uses ingredients that are not kosher for Passover, and mix milk and meat.

It isn't kosher. If it would have warned me in the description I would not have purchased it. Misleading. She needs to revise the description so others will not be mislead.

This book has a lot of easy, simple recipes that are helpful when trying to find something to make during Days of Unleavened Bread.I know some comments mention it not being Kosher, but the description of the book states this, and it is not an issue for me!

This is the first in a new series for Kathi Daley, author of several other fun mystery series, including Zoe Donovan Cozy Mystery, Whales and Tails Cozy Mystery, and Tess and Tilly Mystery, just to name a few. The main character, Abby Sullivan, is looking to get back among the living, after the tragic loss of her husband and infant son one year ago. In doing this, she has moved from California to a small town of Holiday Bay in Maine, and purchased, sight unseen, a large house that she is hoping to renovate to a bed and breakfast inn. She soon finds herself the proud owner of a stray cat named Rufus, and hires herself a contractor, highly recommended by the local hardware store owner. As her plans start to become more concrete, she learns about friendships engendered in small towns. She even takes in a border, Georgia and her dog, with the intention of hiring her to be the inn's live-in manager, since it seems that Georgia's life had a similar destruct button and is looking for that second start. But all is not so rosy in this town, as a recent murder reveals. And when Abby discovers 4 boxes in her basement that seem to have a connection to not only this murdered girl, but at least two others that have either died or disappeared, she decides to see if she can learn what may connect them. This was a good start to a new series, quickly developing the main characters and setting, and providing a sense of the town and townspeople. The writing started out a little stilted, but once the story got under way, it flowed nicely. My one complaint is that it did not resolve all of the issues in this story, but left some "strings" for future books. But having said that, I will definitely be looking for the next book in this series.

I love this new series already, after reading this first book.The main character, Abby is very likable and so are the people in the small Maine town she has moved to to get away from painful memories of the loss of her family.Her late husband was a police detective, and they used to discuss his cases together, so when a local woman ends up murdered, Abby just can't let it go without trying to figure it all out, especially when her new house seems to be involved in a big way.Great story, great characters and just a really great read. I can't wait for the next one in this new series.Highly recommended!

This first book is interesting, exciting and shows much promise for another quality experience.Ms Daley writes characters you want to know in real life, who also become best friends in your reading life.After a personal tragedy, Abby Sullivan is ready for a fresh start.Leaving behind her sister, the only family she has, and who is not supportive of Abby's move and ideas, Abby moves to a town that is dedicated to tourists and cerebrating holidays.Her vision will take time and money, but Abby feels this is exactly what she needs.Shortly after arriving, and in looking just to make her new home livable, Abby makes a new friend who fuels her vision of restoring a neglected house and expands her dreams into creating a business.As this dream unfolds, Abby makes new best friends, acquires roommates, some a furry variety, and gets involved in the community. She also becomes involved in some local crime and mystery.This is a clean, not graphic offering. Figuring out how to solve a mystery when you are new in town and don't know any of the people involved is more difficult than having something happen to someone you know or have even heard about. However it can be just as emotionally draining.While not a cliff hanger ending, not everything is all wrapped up neatly, giving us something to look forward to next time.
